• Hollywood Vogue Mini

    Original

This is a 6x6 chipboard mini album, bound with a Cinch. The chipboard pages had 6x6 Webster's Pages papers applied primarily using Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive and a brayer to make sure they were firmly attached. All the chipboard pages were edged using Tim Holtz Distress ink in Black Soot.

  • Step 1

    Original

I started by assembling products that I thought would work well with the Webster's Pages paper that was going to be the main theme of the book. These included cutting dies, stamps, rub ons, paints and inks. I also included a few other papers by different companies that matched in colour and style. After gluing, sanding and inking the chipboard pages, I punched the holes using the Cinch.

  • Step 2

    Original

This shows the inside front cover. It is WP paper and has a TH Adage ticket and a K&Co key. The next page is a Flip Out pocket page made from Bazzill cardstock. I got the instructions for this pocket page from "mysistersscrapper" on Youtube.

  • Step 3

    Original

This shows the back of the Flip Out pocket and the first of the Webster's Pages 6x6 Vellum pages I included in this book. In front of the vellum page is a MME transparency that I got from cropchocolate.com. It says " You are so Beautiful to Me". I thought that would be really nice with a photo on the vellum page behind it.

  • Step 4

    Original

This is the inside of the Flip Out pocket. I made a corner pocket with the Spellbinders Botanical Swirls and Accents die. I cut it out of cardstock on my Cuttlebug and then glued it to an acetate transparent sheet using Glossy accents. I then glued it along the edge to form a pocket. The journaling card is by MME and came from cropchocolate. The gorgeous paper is by Pink Paislee.

  • Step 5

    Original

This page is WP paper. The frame is cut using a Cuttlebug die and a thin chipboard. I used TH Distress Crackle paint in black, and covered it with Ranger Stickles in Clear Rock Candy when it was dry. This helps prevent the paint from flaking. Behind the frame is a pull out that the photo can go on and journaling can be written on the back of the pull out. There is a chipboard piece covered in matching paper for a title, and the MS butterflys make another appearance.

  • Step 6

    Original

The left page is WP paper, decorated with a WP velvet leaf, a MM Paper Reverie flower and bling, the MS butterfly, and a chipboard Recollections journaling card from Michaels. The heart shaped page is a pocket made with two WP heart die cuts back to back. Inside are journaling cards cut from Prima Almanac paper tied together with a ribbon and a garment pin joins an antique key to them as well.

  • Step 7

    Original

This shows the back of the heart pocket and its tags. I used with Zing embossing powder to emboss a Tattered Angels heart stamp, and added a Michael's key rub on. Next is another WP vellum page and I added a Basic Grey bird cage rub on to it.

  • Step 8

    Original

Another pocket ! This one cut with Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8, it has a tag for journaling inside it that pulls out with an acetate piece by Me and My Big Ideas. The flowers were all cut with the TH Flower Garland die and layered over some mulberry flowers.

  • Step 9

    Original

The center of the left page flips up. It is made of a piece of folded cardstock with a transparent journaling square on top and a photo can be placed under the transparency. The whole piece is matted on a square of cardstock puched with a MS punch around the page. The right page has a fold out that holds both photos and journaling. It is made by accordian folding cardstock. The ribbon holds it closed and a WP Journaling card is held on with a heart shaped paper clip. Behind the fold out is a doily that is sprayed with tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

  • Step 10

    Original

This shows what they look like open. The left side has three stamps used on it. The lace stamp is by MME, the lined stamp is unknown, and the roses are a Glitz stamp that I applied two colours to, so it looks like patterned paper. The right also has three stamps: top is Glitz, Middle is Tim Holtz, and bottom is also Glitz Designs

  • Step 11

    Original

Left side is WP paper background with a die cut chipboard piece. The photo goes under the ribbon. There is a TH film strip down the side and various flowers. On the right is another WP die cut page. This time it is glued to the chipboard page and I cut another exact same page in half to put over top to form the pocket. I used foam tape carefully placed so that there is a lot of space in this pocket for lots of tags. Lace and WP pleated ribbon trim the pocket top.

  • Step 12

    Original

The butterflys are back ! This page has a library pocket made from cardstock and was stamped with Impression Obsessions Cover a Card Lace stamp and heat embossed. There are lots of WP Journaling cards in the pockets, the second pocket being formed with WP Fabric Ribbon across the bottom of the library pocket. Another glimmer misted doily is behind the pocket.
On the right is another vellum page.

  • Step 13

    Original

This was the only page that didn't have the 6x6 b'ground glued down first. The fabric ribbon needed to be wrapped around so it could be used to hold the postcards. In this case I used redline tape for a really secure hold. This page also has a pocket like corner that is actually a piece of another paper the same as the background paper, which was fussy cut and mounted on a heavier paper to help hold the postcards in place. The fabric ribbon has a branch, cage and bird die cut and a feather accent. The cage has mixed white and gold embossing powder on it. I also used embossing powder to colour the branch and bird. The postcards are made from a Tattered Angels stamp set which is no longer available.

  • Step 14

    Original

Back cover is WP paper and fabric ribbon.
This mini album was made for someone else, so I tried to make sure that there was lots of room for her photos without too much embellishment to get in the way. Mostly I make my minis to hold photos that are 3x4 inches. This is an easy size to print or have printed, but this album will also hold some larger photos. Thanks for looking !
